These trays are handmade to order in East London by Mythology, a furnishings and craft studio led by Sam Pearson and Anna Kidel. The duo have been creating a rising vary of furnishings and homeware objects since 2019, alongside engaged on bespoke commissions for industrial and residential interiors.

The studio is guided by a stable, deep-rooted consideration for the pure atmosphere, so timber is sourced as domestically as potential. “These trays are all constructed from London airplane,” explains Anna. “The timber comes from timber which have been felled in London attributable to city improvement or pure causes and comes from one in every of our primary suppliers, Fallen and Felled, who we’re fortunate to share our workshop with.”

“From shakes attributable to storms to development rings signaling durations of drought and floods, the story of a tree could be seen in each bit of timber we work with,” says Sam.
