Single mom and U.S. Military veteran receives new roof due to the Roof Deployment Mission. 

Karmen Allen, a single mom and U.S. Military veteran dwelling in Colorado Springs, Colorado is transferring into her new residence this July! And it was all made doable by Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity and Integrity Roofing and Portray. 

Every year, Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity selects 8-10 candidates for houses offered at no revenue with inexpensive mortgages which are not more than 30% of the family’s gross month-to-month earnings. A type of chosen people was Karmen.  

Karmen was very grateful for his or her help and can also be receiving a brand new roof on her residence earlier than she strikes i due to  the Roof Deployment Mission, a nationwide program established in 2016 by the Owens Corning Basis with a mission to offer again to U.S. army veterans and their households. 

The mission is straight partnered with Help Our Troops, a 501(c)(3) public goal charity that permits people, teams and organizations to offer help and providers for troops and their households. Since its institution, the Roof Deployment Mission has supplied over 400 roofs for army members, with Karmen being one among them. 

The Owens Corning Basis donated the mandatory roofing supplies, and Integrity Roofing and Portray donated their labor to put in Karmen’s new roof. As a veteran-owned and operated firm with a lot of its workers being veterans, the corporate has a ardour for giving again to the veteran group.  

“Quite a lot of our workers are veterans,” Aaron Dunbar, Integrity Roofing and Portray director of business roofing, shared with KRDO. “So it’s very particular to us to have the ability to give again and assist our nice veterans after the sacrifices they’ve given to our nation.” 

Due to the collaboration of the Owens Corning Basis, Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity, and Integrity Roofing and Portray, and the dedication their workers should giving again to the veteran group, the roof set up was accomplished in someday and Karmen’s new roof will maintain her protected and dry for years to come back.
